We currently broadcast with an FCC-approved low power digital signal.
It is broadcast on VHF channel 7 from a tower located in Sioux
Falls near the intersection of I-29 and Louise.
Recently, the FCC granted our application to increase the power of our
channel 7 digital signal. We
have ordered the equipment to accomplish this and hope to have the
project finished by mid October 2008.
The new transmitter and antenna will be located near Rowena, SD
where most of the other network digital transmitters are located.
If you are using an antenna that receives only UHF channels you will
have a hard time picking us up.
The best way to pick up a station is to point your antenna at the
station you wish to receive.
Is FOX broadcast in digital?
Yes. KTTW is broadcasting an FCC-authorized low power signal.
It covers the city of Sioux Falls and a little beyond. We
broadcast our digital signal on VHF channel 7, so you will need a
receive antenna capable of receiving VHF signals.
Where is your broadcasting tower located?
Near the intersection of I-29 and Louise Ave. Currently, most
other networks broadcast their digital signals from towers located near
Rowena, SD. Rowena is located east of Sioux Falls on Highway 42.
Will FOX increase their broadcast power?
Yes. The FCC recently granted KTTW a construction permit to do
that. This permit allows KTTW to increase the broadcast power and
move to a broadcast tower near Rowena, SD which will put us near the
other networks' digital broadcast transmitters. You will still
need a VHF antenna to pick up the KTTW digital signal.
