It was too bad we weren’t able have our lunch on the sidewalk patio…not even the cascading waterfall was able to keep us cool on the hot day we elected to check out Tinner’s.  However, the atmosphere within the cool confines was a breath of fresh air…which only increased my appetite.  As I gazed through a very diverse menu I was hoping to keep my selection light due to the hot day we where experiencing.  After about 5-minutes the Walleye Sandwich jumped out as the logical choice.  We were served after a brief wait and I was not disappointed.  The walleye was flaky and seasoned to perfection.  Topped off with a tangy tarter sauce, crisp lettuce, tomato & pickle, the meal was a treat.  The large portion of french fries completely took care of my large appetite and I left Tinner’s looking forward to the next time I’m on the south side of town and am in need of a great place to eat.

Buttery toasted bun and meat, what else could a man need? That’s what went through my head as I ordered the ribeye steak sandwich. It’s kept the way it should be, simple and delicious. The steak is grilled perfectly and has a nice amount of season to go with it while not overpowering it. On the side are some of the best French fries in town—crispy and flaky, just the way I like it.
On another note, had it not been 100° we would have sat out on their patio area next the very scenic waterfall but I like to be comfortable while eating.

The other day I had the pleasure of eating lunch at Tinner’s Bar & Grill and experiencing something I had heard about and always wanted to try, the Peanut Butter Burger. It did not take long for my apprehension to disappear as I enjoyed the unique blend of flavors. The burger was done a perfect medium and the large dollop of peanut butter on top made for a great experience. The bun was fresh, the fries were hot and the service was prompt. Kudos to Tinner’s Bar & Grill.

One of my favorite things about going to Tinner's is that you always have a large variety of options, so whatever you might be in the mood for, you will find something delicious! The grilled chicken in the wrap was tender and perfectly grilled and there was just the right amount of Caesar dressing in the wrap to not make it soggy or overpowering. My soup was made fresh, from scratch that day, and had a nice combination of sweet and spice. I even asked about buying it to go (which you can do by the Quart by just calling ahead). Tinner's makes all of their soups from scratch so it adds a nice variety to the soups you can choose from! Perfect for colder weather coming up!
