A History of KTTW KTTW began as a business venture between local investors back in 1988.  Our original signal was broadcast out of a trailer located at our current transmitter site on 69th & Louise and was maintained by 3 employees.  We had a single transmitter which covered only the immediate Sioux Falls area. Early into our broadcasting venture, it became very apparent how expensive it was to maintain and grow a signal in a local broadcast medium.  Elmen Enterprises (of Appliance & Furniture RentAll fame) stepped forward as majority investor and invigorated our enterprise. In 1989 we moved from our trailer to studios located at Hawthorne on 42nd.  During this time we experienced the bulk of our growth, constructing transmitter sites in Aberdeen, Brookings, Pierre, Watertown, and Yankton. In 1994 we nested in our current studios at 2817 W 11th St.  We have been here 16 years and proudly continue to provide quality programming to our Sioux Falls residents via an enterprise owned and operated by Sioux Falls residents.
