  KTTW participated in a Career Day at Centerville High School, Centerville, SD. At this event we had the opportunity to expose high school students to the many career options in the broadcast industry. We had flyers on the various careers and we were able to answer questions about educational requirements.
         
Option 2 Type of Activity Dates of Activities Participating Employees Host of Activity
  10 March 24 & 25, 2010 Ed Hoffman & Scott Nelson Southeast Technical Institute
  KTTW will give a total of eight 15-minute presentations to numerous area students at the 2010 Career Expo. A power point presentation was given followed by Q & A. The primary focus was to convey what happens at a television station, describe the various positions available and what employee does on a daily basis.
         
Option 3 Type of Activity Dates of Activities Participating Employees Host of Activity
  7 April 13, 2010 Scott Nelson University Center
  KTTW participated in a Career Fair at the University Center North in Sioux Falls, SD. At this event we had the opportunity to interact with tradition & non-tradition college students regarding career opportunities at KTTW Fox 7 and the local broadcast industry. We had flyers on the various careers options within the station and we were able to answer questions about educational requirements.
         
Option 4 Type of Activity Dates of Activities Participating Employees Host of Activity
  10 May 12, 2010 Scott Nelson, Jon Yirka & Amy Daws KTTW Fox 7 Studio
  Three staff members of KTTW gave tours of the facility as a Field Trip for the entire 4th Grade of West Central Elementary. The four areas of emphasis was the Sales, Traffic, Production and Master Control Departments. A Question & Answer period followed each session as the students rotated through each department. The primary focus was to convey what happens at a television station, describe the various positions available and what employee does on a daily basis.
   
Option 5 Type of Activity Dates of Activities Participating Employees Host of Activity
  7 October 18, 2010 Ed Hoffman & Scott Nelson Internship
  As of October 18, 2010 KTTW has offered and executed an internship opportunity to Tyler Neeman (a Southeast Tech graduate). Tyler's primary responsibility is to create a new template for www.kttw.com . In order to obtain his 180 hours of accreditation Mr. Neeman may also be asked to create in-house marketing materials such as one sheets and shadowing production/sales staff.
