  KTTW participated in the SDSU Internship Fair where numerous interviews were conducted. The goal for our participation was to find the ideal candidate for a 2012 Summer Internship. At this event we also had the opportunity to expose soon-to-be college graduates to the expectations of a career in the broadcast industry. The primary focus of this internship is tailored toward the field of television production.

  KTTW participated in the Regional Career Fair at Marion High School, Marion, SD. At this event we had the opportunity to expose high school students to the many career options in the broadcast industry. We had flyers on the various careers and we were able to answer questions about educational requirements.

  KTTW Marketing Support Specialist, Scott Nelson, gave a detailed presentation to members of Boy Scout Troop #8 of Hartford, SD. Scott covered multiple topics regarding the field of broadcasting. Scott used his past television experience (Production, Reporting & Advertising) to convey the different aspects the industry. Educational criteria and camera equipment was also utilized.

  KTTW Marketing Support Specialist, Scott Nelson, gave a total of five 15-minute presentations to numerous area students at the 2012 Career Expo. A brochure was handed out to all students, followed by a brief Q & A regarding broadcasting as a whole. The primary focus was to convey what happens at a television station and describe the various positions and education required for all employees thereof.
